These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of shop.shapeandshine.studio (the "Site") and any purchase made through it. By placing an order with Shape & Shine Studio ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree with any part of them, please don't use the Site to place an order.
Shape & Shine Studio is a small, independent craft workshop based in Ireland, specialising in laser engraving, woodworking, and personalised gifts. You can reach us any time via our contact page or at [email protected].
Most of our products are made to order, often using details, text, or photos you provide at the time of purchase. It's your responsibility to make sure anything you submit (spelling, dates, names, uploaded photos) is correct before checkout — once production has started on a personalised item, we may not be able to make further changes.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order — for example, if a submitted photo or text is unclear, low resolution, offensive, or infringes someone else's rights. If we cancel an order for this reason, you'll receive a full refund.
When you upload a photo or submit custom text for engraving, you confirm that you own the rights to that content, or have permission to use it, and that it doesn't infringe on anyone else's rights.
By submitting a photo or design for your order, you agree that we may photograph the finished, engraved product and use that image to showcase the item on our Site — for example, as a product photo or example image on a listing or item page. We will never share, sell, or otherwise use the original photo or file you uploaded for any purpose beyond producing your order and, where applicable, showcasing the finished piece as described above.
If you'd prefer your finished piece isn't used this way, just let us know when you order (or any time afterwards via our contact page) and we'll make sure it isn't included.
All prices on the Site are shown in euro (€) and include any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Payment is processed securely through Stripe at checkout; we never see or store your full card details. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors on the Site, including after an order has been placed, and will contact you before proceeding if this affects your order.
We currently ship within Ireland only. Estimated dispatch and delivery times, shipping rates, and our parcel insurance policy are detailed on our Shipping & Returns page, which forms part of these Terms.
Our full returns policy, including timeframes and the specific exceptions that apply to personalised items, is set out on our Shipping & Returns page. In summary: most unused, unpersonalised items can be returned within 14 days; personalised or custom-engraved items can only be returned if faulty or damaged, since they're made specifically for you and can't generally be resold.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under Irish and EU consumer protection law.
Because each piece is handmade, small variations in wood grain, colour, engraving depth, or finish are normal and not considered faults. Product photos are a close representation of the finished item, but natural materials mean no two pieces are ever perfectly identical.
You can check out as a guest, or create an account to track orders and save addresses faster next time. You're responsible for keeping your account password (or, if you sign in with Google, your Google account) secure, and for any activity that happens under your account.
Please don't use the Site to submit content that's unlawful, abusive, infringes someone else's intellectual property, or that you don't have the right to use. We may refuse service or cancel an order at our discretion if we believe this has happened.
We aim to provide accurate descriptions and reliable service, but we don't guarantee the Site will always be available or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any issue with an order is limited to the value of that order. This doesn't limit any liability that can't legally be limited, such as liability for personal injury caused by our negligence.
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect a change in our services or in the law. The version in effect at the time you place an order is the one that applies to that order. We'll update the "Last updated" date above whenever we make a change.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
